George "Casey" Payne, M.A., M.T.S. George "Casey" Payne has been actively involved with social justice work since college. Over the past 15 years he has worked as an advocate for the homeless, as a peace and justice educator, domestic violence counselor, college professor and free lance writer/photojournalist. His degrees are from St. John Fisher College, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, and Emory University.
From 2009-2014, George served as a Member-Volunteer with Rochester AmeriCorps, and as a Peace & Justice Educator with the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence at the University of Rochester.
In the summer of 2014 he left the Gandhi Institute to found Gandhi Earth Keepers International. Through GEKI he strives to combine the principles of Gandhian nonviolence with the modern tools of social media to create a more mindful, compassionate and creative world.
